Loomis is one of the world’s largest providers of cash and high-value item transportation services, operating in 23 countries globally with nearly 200 locations here in the United States. Loomis is also one of Xos’s earliest and longest-standing partners; the first 100% battery-electric truck from Xos was put into operation for Loomis in 2019. Fast forward four years, and we at Xos are proud to continue our work with Loomis to support their fleet electrification needs. Loomis currently operates 20 battery-electric trucks in its fleet, all of which were designed and manufactured by Xos. The partnership has expanded to include charging infrastructure and services from Xos Energy Solutions™ (XES), and we recently unveiled the first chargers at Loomis’s Montebello, Calif. location.

Xos Energy Solutions is a suite of comprehensive charging infrastructure and consulting services designed to simplify the process for fleet owners who are transitioning from internal combustion engine to fully-electric. We’re thrilled to unveil the first XES charging infrastructure—seven Level 2 chargers—for Loomis at its Montebello, Calif. location.
Installing charging infrastructure is critical to the widespread and successful deployment of electric vehicles. Simply put, you can’t have electric vehicles without the infrastructure needed to charge them. However, charging infrastructure installation can be an arduous and complex task that will most likely involve expert assistance. It involves first evaluating a site’s physical structure and power capacity and coming up with the safest and most efficient charging design plan, undergoing a permitting process involving city planning offices, securing the right authorizations to begin the installation work, and hiring and deploying electricians to install the wiring fixtures and systems. We created XES to focus solely on assisting our customers with this process. Our team will work with you on each step to complete the installation quickly, safely, and with as little disruption as possible.
