Surviving the ACT Expo: 5 Steps for Success

If you're attending the Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo in Anaheim, CA, this year, you're about to experience one of the biggest clean transportation shows in North America. With thousands of attendees, hundreds of exhibitors, and dozens of speakers, it can be a bit overwhelming to take it all in. Follow these five steps and you'll be sure to have an enjoyable and successful experience at the ACT Expo.

Step 1: Set Your Priorities Before You Go

The first step in surviving any major event is setting your priorities. What do you want to get out of attending? Who do you want to meet? Which vendors do you want to check out? Answering questions like these will help you focus on what's most important so that when you get there, you know exactly where to start.

Don't forget to add the Sustainability & Emissions Planning for Fleets breakout session to your list. You will hear from Xos VP of Business Development, Jose Castañeda along with other industry leaders. This session is Wednesday, May 3rd at 1:00 pm.

Step 2: View The Floor Plan Ahead Of Time

Once you've got your priorities set, the next step is familiarizing yourself with the floor plan. Knowing where everything is ahead of time will save you tons of time when it comes down to actually navigating the show floor. That way, when it's time to go from point A to point B, you won't have any trouble finding your way around. You'll be able to find Xos in booth 6377 where we will be showcasing our 100% battery-electric vehicles and charging infrastructure solutions.

Step 3: Schedule Meetings With Preferred Vendors

Chances are there are certain vendors or exhibitors that you'd like to meet while at ACT Expo. To make sure you don’t miss any of them during all the hustle and bustle of the show floor, take some time before the event and schedule meetings with them ahead of time. This way, all your bases are covered and no one slips through the cracks! If Xos is on your list, you can request a meeting with our team here

Step 4: RSVP To VIP Client Events

One thing that many people forget about is VIP events hosted by exhibitors at trade shows like ACT Expo. These events usually require an RSVP or invitation-only entry—so make sure that if there are any VIP events at ACT Expo this year that interest you, that you RSVP as soon as possible so that you don't miss out on arguably the best part of the week. In fact, at Xos, we are known for throwing a good party, and you can join the waitlist for ours here!

Step 5: Relax And Enjoy — don't forget about taking some time for yourself!

Trade shows can be exhausting both mentally and physically; it's important to take some breaks throughout the day so that your mind stays fresh and ready for whatever comes next. We always have a device-charging lounge in our booth where attendees can sit and take a break, please stop on by to recharge.

The Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo can be overwhelming for even seasoned veterans. But by following these five steps—setting your priorities before going, viewing the floor plan ahead of time, scheduling meetings with preferred vendors, RSVPing to VIP client events, and taking breaks throughout—you'll be sure to survive this massive event with ease. So go forth and have a great time at ACT Expo this year! We'll see you there!
