Xos and UniFirst: Building on a Partnership of Shared Values
Xos and UniFirst have been working together for several years, building on their shared values around dedication to their customers and commitment to sustainability. UniFirst recently received two more battery-electric trucks from Xos and selected Xos to help lead a charging infrastructure build-out at its Boston location. We recently caught up with the UniFirst team in Boston. Hear what they have to say about working with Xos so far:
“We started working with UniFirst several years ago and we began by understanding the needs of their fleet, and how we could make our vehicles really attuned to match their operational requirements for uniform rental delivery vehicles. As their electric fleet has grown, we’ve also started to help them with the deployment of that charging infrastructure and think through how they can best manage their fleet to map the transition from internal combustion engines over to electric vehicles.”
“One of the unique things about working with Xos is not only are we buying the vehicles from them, but they’ve helped coordinate with contractors, they helped us with incentives—local, municipal, state level, federal level, whatever we need—and we really leverage their expertise in building our charging stations.”
